As in counterfeit grips flooding eBay. Specifically Golf Pride MCC plus 4.

Ok, I know its just a sleeve of rubber and the copies are very good, but they are easy to spot.

1. Price..too good to be true.
2. The plastic label over the end of the grip doesn't have a perforated seam to easily remove it.
3. The thickness of the rubber at the end that goes on is thicker than the originals.

Very difficult to put on, nearly broke 2 club shafts doing it, forcing them on.

Not worth the hassle stick to the originals

When it comes to this point are you trying to put a .58 bore grip on a .60 or larger diameter shaft (graphite shafts are often .62) With thicker grips this is harder to do as the grip cannot expand enough.

If you look just inside the grip the bore diameter will be shown. If it is not may be another sign that that they are counterfeit, I have never seen it missing on a Golf Pride grip.

Put 9 of these on irons and wedges yesterday. Yeah they smell chemically but felt absolutely fine and easy to put on.
Only downside is having to drill the butts so the solvent can get out properly.

I wouldn't put them on my own clubs but if money is a bit tight....

I remember years ago the dual multi compound sort of half cord grips from golf pride, there was a lot to be said about the fakes going about, from eBay in particular, some I’d felt and seen were every bit as good as the real thing and a fraction of the price. Especially when re-gripping 13 clubs

I tend to think about the 11 year old kid tied to a bench all day making fakes for some food and then go and buy non fakes.

We all have a different moral compass.

If you are getting them off eBay you would be as well as just installing the AliExpress app on your phone and cutting out the middle man. You can get Super Stroke knockoffs for £8 delivered and the Golf Pride ones at £26 for 13 of them delivered.

This can be said of pretty much any major brand that manufactures in the far east. I admire your moral compass but sadly you are misinformed.
