Do you want Scotland to leave the UK

I actually agree with Phil... Never thought I'd see the day!

To me it is interesting to know how those outside of Scotland in the UK feel about it, as it does effect us.
I appreciate that it doesn't actually influence the result, as so many have been so kind as to point out that little piece of the obvious. It's still quite interesting.

My opinion, I hope they don't go. A bigger UK is a better UK IMO.

Not sure if those living in Scotland will be allowed to vote on that if they managed to become iscot.

It's one of these uncertainties that BT tend not to go on that much about. In the event of a NO vote - Scotland will not have much say in the matter in a UK IN/OUT EU referendum - it will be tied to the decision rest of UK makes.

I'm not so sure that strong 'bigger-off Scotland' views coming from south of the border won't have an effect on the voting. Too much of it and some on the fence voters might just say 'bigger-you then - have your way'

This is rather tiresome. IF scotland votes no and IF the tories get back in and IF they negotiate a new deal with the EU there will be an in/out referendum. And IF that all happens every voter in Scotland will get to vote on it anyway..... So, again, not giving two hoots.

I'm not bothered either way.
I would be half interested in the aftermath though as I don't really think the Scottish government have throughly thought it through!

Fair enough - though I don't see why it's tiresome. IN/OUT the EU is surely an issue that some Scots might see as important as in a UK referendum Scots votes may not hold too much sway. Whatever - I don't have a view as I don't live in Scotland and so can't really say how I'd feel if I did.

It's tiresome because it's trying too hard to second guess what the future might bring in the event of a no vote. The same applies the other way with some of the doomsday scenarios that are being flagged up in the event of a yes.

Whichever way we vote, life will go on and uncertainties will resolve themselves one way or the other much as they always do.

Spot on - and yet BT demand certainty from YES and heap criticism when little is forthcoming. However I sense that the effect of that demand is wearing thin.

Absolutely. I am completely bored of the endless bickering about banalities and imponderables, but must admit I would like to know a little bit more detail of how things would line up in the short term. Although I accept that many issues are simply too difficult to resolve unless/until independence kicks in.

On the other hand, no matter the detail, I'm voting "No" so the "Yes" mob would only be wasting their time pandering to what I want!

I want Scotland to stay as part of the UK.

I like Scotland and the Scottish people but if the vote went YES then it would undoubtedly affect my relationship (for want of a better word) with both.

On a purely personal level I'd feel less welcome in Scotland and by the Scottish people and so less inclined to visit.
In my eyes a YES vote is an affirmation of what I'd always assumed was just good natured rivalry between Scotland and the England because, let's be honest here, for many voters this is more about separating from England than the UK.

A quick question to the guys that voted yes

Did you start thinking yes after reading the Scotland Debate thread ?
