Do you want Scotland to leave the UK

  • Total voters
    55
I vote yes on the understanding that all the scotish members of parliament who have a vote on ENGLISH matters, clear off. If the Welsh want to do that as well they can go too.

What about the Irish living in Scotland, do we not a vote in your poll or are we being discriminated against again?

Cant wait until proper polling day in September.

Sorry but I don't believe I said you couldn't vote :mmm:

I didn't realise you became a part of the UK ?

Now you are just silly. Off course we aren't...

I just thought that as I have a real vote in September I could get one in your poll. Don't worry about it.

EDIT For what its worth it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks from the rest of the UK its how the people living in Scotland vote so a more suitable poll may have asked only people living in Scotland to vote...

My poll was to try and gauge the feelings of the rest of the UK about Scotland leaving - there is a while thread about the Scotland debate where it's clear the feelings of most of our Scottish brethren - it's the opinions of others I wanted to gauge

But the only opinion that matters on the day is the opinions of the people who live in Scotland so these polls and opinions of you and I for that matter are utterly worthless.;)

.......But......:D

It's the same with most of the polls - but I think it is worthwhile knowing how others feel about Scotland possibly leaving the UK

As i have had several 2 week holidays in Scotland North South East and west, quite a few weekends there and played several rounds of golf including the old course which did not impress me yet other less known courses blew me away. If I was a jock I would not want to be ruled by England or be a part of it. Scotland is about as related to England as England is to France.

however the 64000 dollar question is would Scotland be better off without us. Listening to some MPs they would be or would not be. But these are the same nobodies who are telling us we would be better off leaving the EU or not.

and what exactly would be the bench mark that proves the scots are better off leaving.

as an outside sassanach looking in it seems to me Scotland is trying to fix summat that's not really broke.

Well that may be the economic question but it isn't the only question. And so even if the answer to the economic question in the short to even medium term is NO - the answer to the only question that matters could still be YES.

...and as someone who doesn't have a vote my answer to the poll question is don't know

And, indeed, vice versa!

Personally I couldn't give two hoots about the economic arguments that our politicians and media are so fixated upon.

Scotland isn't ruled by England?
I know it's not but does it not want to break away so it can rule/run/govern itself without the interference of England/uk who has a general election every so often to see who rules/runs/governs Scotland as well as the rest of the uk.

My very first question when I joined this site was should the uk be in the EU which got rather heated. The same question is being asked of Scotland being part of the uk. Don't ask me why (gut feeling) but the uk would be better off leaving the EU but Scotland would be better off being part of the uk.
