Do you NR to save face?

That's totally different, I don't think anyone condones someone walking in when only in a 2-ball, that as you say is bad manners, all our comps are 3-balls so it's not an issue if someone is having a mare and its having a negative affect on the others, if j was in a 2-ball I'd carry on regardless.

And if one selfish players walks in after 5 and a guy falls ill after 10, a player being left on his on is easily avoided

I played out every hole but after a horrendous first 13 or so holes gave up and slopped about in the puddles to sign his card. Didn't bother entering card which was just about illegible due to being soaked anyway. Used it as a practice and after I stopped trying I played the odd decent shot. But with a massive 21 points I wasn't gonna soil the clubhouse to put it into the computer.

Jeez Martin, let's all go out in 5-balls to avoid trolley breakdowns, illnesses, home emergencies, being attached by rabid squirrels 😂😂

Do you have to be obtuse Robin?

I've seen people leave the course on more than 2 occasion with illness and I've witnessed 1 go after a golf ball split him wide. These are not made up scenarios they are genuine witnessed scenarios.

There is nothing against the rules about walking off, it's my opinion that I find it bad form. You walk off any time you feel like it, it's your choice.
