I have a 97 gun blue newport 2 that is working rather well for me at the mo but im starting to worry that its so rare do I get a back up if so what should I look at that's more durable.
If your putter works for you and you enjoy using it, either use it and accept it'll get scruffy and lose value or find a similar one (that looks and plays as nicely) and use that instead.
Personally, I reckon unless it's worth huge amounts of money and will appreciate, then just play and enjoy.
I'm sure there was a bloke who ran a carpet company in the west country who bought a Jaguar supercar (XJ220?) and bricked it up in his offices to protect it's value. 10 years later, he went bust, they flogged it for 10% of it's value.
What a waste.
