Dropped my 3 wood when i was off 18 as it was causing me to lose too many shots

In the following years as i improved i tried various 3 woods but never found one i could hit well.

Recently put a titleist 4 wood in the bag. It has a shallow face and is superb off the turf. Just this last 2 weeks ive worked out how to hit a reliable fade with it. A tweak at set up and technique has been the key to that.

Same with me... I found that learning to hit my three wood (915 adjusted to 16.5) 4 Wood
has helped all of my long game Driving has improved both accuracy and length.

if i played my home course could argue that I didn't need a three wood,, but our fourball rotates between six courses and 3W is vital on some holes that need a 3W off the tee or into a long par 5.

It is a weapon that needs to be mastered imo

I was recently looking for a new fairway to take off the deck. Ended up with an XR16 5 wood that goes further than my old 3-wood and is great off both the turf and tee. The 3 wood has been condemned to the cupboard:)
