Is this a balls-ache, or doable? Seen a few youtube videos and it looks simple enough. Anyone had any bad experiences?
Easy peasy lemon squeazy but I'm a lazy git. My pro doesn't carry a big range and so I tend to order via Gamola and pay him for labour to stick them on
I fancy a bash at this also, so what tape and tools to buy experienced fellas? and any do's and don't tips for people who are terrible at DIY and never done it before?
Grips and grip tape from Gamola
White spirit
Curved Stanley blades to cut the old grips off ( always cut away from yourself to prevent injury)
A decorators hot air gun can help to remove the old tape.
Plenty of videos on Youtube to show how it's done.
It's very satisfying replacing your grips yourself.

Out of interest, how much does he charge you for putting on a grip?
Thanks, theres grip tape in different sizes, lengths and quality- whats best?
same applies for the grip solvent they sell- which one?
the curved blade is £20, get that or better at B&Q?
shaft protector- worth it?

Wicked, i'll be trying this soon then! Whats the rough price I should be paying for a grip?
