Pro-Am today and My cousins little boy was hoping to get the sigs of GMac, Darren Clarke and Rory.

G-Mac not an issue he was even giving out free Srixon gear after the round. absolute gent.

Darren refused to sign anything during the round due to time. All well and good but he came to the autograph area behind the 18th afterwards and signed stuff for people.

Rory coming up the 18th and my cousins wee one was right at the hatch of the autograph area waiting for him. he also wasn't signing going round but people expected him to follow DC's example. He stepped of the 18th and disappeared. kid was heartbroken.

This being a relaxed day is the best chance to get the sigs but McIlroy seemed elsewhere. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there. If he plays like it tomorrow it will be another missed cut.

Made John Daly seem friendly and he was an arse!

Others were gentlement. Simon Dyson took ages to sign and have photos etc, Harrington likewise. Keegan Bradley was real star and Bill Murray was so entertaining it was worth the ticket price alone.

I'm not surprised he seems to be up himself the last year or so, gone down in many peoples estimations.
Least there were plenty more positives than negatives.

Bob, Bob, Bob:rolleyes:

Prepare yourself for the backlash for daring to say something bad about Rory

You should know by know you can only complain about golfers if they are Tiger Woods, American, Monty or a Belly Putter user.

How dare you question him:angry:

He has gone a bit "wonky" since leaving Chubbs to be fair. But what i find more suprising is to hear what you said about John Daly!.

I have seen him at a few events in the uk over the years and has always signed everything that was put infront of him.

I have to be honest and say since he left Chubby for the lure of the big wedge he's turned into a nice approachable young man into a bit of a selfish brat and up himself. At your "home" open you'd think he'd make an effort and be under management instruction to be PR savvy

Daley was marching past grabbed a few things in passing signed them and threw them behind him. Let's just say he was a little grumpy.

As for Rory's play. I watched him at the 11th par 3. Tee shot through the back. duff chip , up on the second and then 2 putt. his dad had par.

Really enjoyed the ProAm today with my Dad, Ana Botin #Santander and Michel de Carvalho. Looking forward to tmrw

I saw that tweet, was tempted to reply that he clearly did not enjoy it enough to hang around and sign a few autographs.

On the other side, I really like what Gmac and Srixon/Cleveland are doing. He has shed loads of balls to hand out and some are stamped with the name of a piece of Cleveland kit. If you get one of those you get free gear. Great way of pros and sponsors interacting with the fans and customers.

Mcllory is up his own arse he has the spoilt wee boy syndrome it happens all the time. Darren Clarke is a legend so is GMac hav emet both these guys in Portrush inth epast couple of years and they were total gents asking where we were playing etc, getting photo's taken.
As my late dad always said treat people the way you'd like to be treated youself, never a truer word.

Did you see Pat Jennings? Played at a school golf day with him last week and he was a bit worried about how he'd get on.... Think he might have been with bill murray. He was a real gent and surprised me by saying he was a bit nervous because there would be 15000 there. But Pat, all of them will be rooting for you....

I haven't ever been that keen on him. When my wife asked why, I said I don't know there was something about him I wasn't keen on.
I like watching him play golf when he's playing well but off the course there was just something that rubbed me the wrong way.
It just seems now he is proving what it was.
Shame really as he had the potential to be a great ambassador of the sport but now he seems to be rubbing alot of people up the wrong way.
Maybe he'll calm down in a few years.

heading down on the train tomoro. looking forward to seeing how the pros tackle the links golf. enjoyed playing portstewart on monday. conditions will be tough for them. we got it easy!
