Hi can anyone help

I have recently returned to playing golf after a 16 year break, so frustrating trying to get back to the level I previously played at (5 handicap) anyway, after joining a club in Jan and getting my handicap in May (10) I have been selected to play in the club team, for a league match....Problem is it is on a Friday afternoon, I have noticed that on the work staffing rota it says No More Lave to be granted, I really want to play, cant throw a sicky, but need a cast iron reason why they should grant me the leave, Funerals dont work, my friend wasnt able to attend her Grans!
HELP!!!!!!!!!! :D

Hi

Tell them that the Man United team has been involved in a massive coach crash and you need to go out and celebrate.

Your employer would have to be insane to deny such a request.

Edgey

Some perspective needed. I think your job comes higher up the priority list!
What does 'no more leave to be granted' mean? This month, this week, ever??
League matches on a friday afternoon seems daft - evenings or weekends is more sensible.

Sorry fella, no sympathy here....record figure rises in unemployment rates announced yesterday and business is still tough out there - dare anyone make themselves an unreliable employee right now? no matter how much you might love your golf!

Why can't you throw a sicky ?

You go into work complaining about an upset tum on Wed.

Get the wife/girlfriend/boyfriend to give you a little white face makeup on Thursday.

Friday you go into work, suggesting you've been up all night. Then get on with work, slowly, and hopefully inaccurately, preferably getting on your bosses nerves. At precisely 11.23 you 'quietly' ( making sure it's noticed, but you're in too much of a rush to say anything [ try bumping into tables etc ] ) rush off to the loo, and proceed to make some wonderful noises of your choice.

Emerge at 12.04 and say you need a cab.

Simples.

cant do a sicky, they monitor sickness and i have had time off, if i have more it all gets complicated, + I work from home so they cant see how "ill" i would be....I do draw the line at make-up...at Primary school I remember eating some crayons to make myself sick so I could go home!
I wasnt designed for work!

showing symptoms of swine flu - need to stay off work until it's confirmed. ;)

Dilemma over
I sulked, moaned and nagged and have been granted 1/2 day leave to play!
wish me luck :)
You should have just gone with the old 'suspected swine flu' excuse, there's probably 2 million across the country doing it for the next 4 days... all watching BBC2 right now :D
