as im aware a lot of people struggle with long irons, me being one of them, so at my lesson last week my pro gave me a wilson staff fybrid 3 hybrid to try for the week and if i liked it he said i could have it for 30 quid :D now ive put a lot of practice in with it and ive had 2 really good sessions and 2 really poor ones, so the question is, what do i do? my lesson is tomorrow and do i go for it or do i leave it? : :D

have you tried it on the course. Hybrids are very good out of the rough as well. How good were the good shots and how bad were the bad shots etc? What you have to think is are you getting more good out of the club being in the bag or would you get better use out of another club.

I have 2 wilson hybrids and use them all the time find they are very easy to use.

Its £30 even if you dont like it/get on with it you should be able to get most of/all of your money back

im 15, give me 30 quid and you'd have thought id won the lottery :D :D :D

Nah in all seriousness though the good shots are very very good hitting it about 15 yards short of my driver, the bad shots were pretty bad but i know that it was me not the club, due to an obscence amount of schoolwork (year 11 sucks) i havent been able to get out on the course :)

I also feel I would be a lot more confident stepping up to the ball with a 3 hybrid in hand rather than a 3 iron, I guess im edging towards making the purchase but I would like to be sure that I'm going to get on with it more often than not

I prefer to hit long irons myself, so you can probably guess my answer :D

All I would say is this. If you think it will suit your game, give you a litle more confidence out of the rough, or off the tee on a long par 3, £30 quid is a small price to pay. If you have doubts, speak to your pro and ask his advice as he has seen your swing and would probably be the best person to ask.
