Differences in driver shafts

As I have absolutely no feel for shafts, im after some advice. Specifically between a stiff 60g and a reg 50g both in fujikura pro

Is it just about swing speed? I think I have light reg (ns pro 950) in the irons, cos I hit them pretty low,p. but 57 stiff in the mini, which can go like a rocket

This is my experience of getting fitted with driver shafts:

60g X-Stiff - crazy length but lack of control of dispersal
70g X-stiff - seriously long but total lack of consistency
60g stiff - consistent as hell without good distance.
70g stiff - good distance with a good dispersal.

I go for the 70g stiff as it is a good trade off between distance and dispersal, if I need to hit a straight one I use my 3W. I am giving about 10-15 yards of distance over the X-stiff, but at least it's in the fairway.
