Any current members here? Or played there regularly? They currently have an offer of £300 for the year! I am moving house and so had to suspend my current membership as it's not practical to pay a whole year when in 3 months I could be living an hour away but for £300 I am happy to pay that and even if I only get 3 months use would still work out OK with the option to still play there for a further 9 months.

its right by the M60 where it meets the M56 if memory serves me right

It's ok. Certainly worth £300.
You have to cross over the M60 at one point, nice little par 3 just before iirc.

We are next to a motorway, you don't notice it after a while.

Didsbury is ok, and for the price a bargain.

The noise wouldn't bother me I don't think, I'm sure motorway noise turns into a monotonous drone after a while. For the price seems hard not to take it up.

I seem to remember we have a forummer called DidsburyDuffer - and I think he may be on their committee.

A decent enough course but doesn't stand up to lots of rain - and the Mersey runs alongside it.

as everyone else has already said, yeah...

I played there a few years back though and couldn't get used to it.
If you're playing there regularly then I guess you'd adjust.

One odd thing that has just come to mind, on the hole after you come back over the motorway you cannot take a drive off the tee, it runs adjacent to the motorway and has a big net up to stop bad hooks going onto the road.

Yes Louise I read that on the course overview, one hole had a max of 17 degrees loft on a club from the tee which is annoying as my 4 wood which I like to use off the tee is 16.5 😀
