I bought myself a nice new GoKart trolley the other day. Took it out to my course yesterday for a round. My course is pretty undulating in bits. Set it still on what was a reasonably flat bit. Went to play my shot, only to see the trolley get caught by a gust of wind and go toppling upside down into a deep bunker.

F**K I thought, it's broken already!!!

It appears to be undamaged

If i'd known there was no braking system on it not sure i would have bought it

I suppose it's my fault for not asking the question.

Got a very nice brake on my PK Twinline pusher - no problems there.
Does seem strange that leccies freewheel - I guess so you can push them when the battery dies..

I don't think one momentary lapse of concentration and a misunderstanding of the law of physics should put you off. Must have been one hell of a gust to blow over the trolley and the bag on top. It proves that the trolley is perfectly robust. If it helps I never park mine on a hill and if I'm near the green which has undulations I turn of the power take out my putter and let it free wheel down the slope (no bunkers, ditches etc in the way of course)

It was a helluva windy day :)

You're right. I'll be more carefull next time and not have it drag me up the hills. I'll leave it at the bottom (or top) from now on.

cheers

One other top tip - don't turn the roller onto full power unless you are Usain Bolt. I did by accident and it went like a rocket much to the enjoyment of my partners

Or when you arrive at the top of a hill ans stop remember the power is high... as I found out.

If I ever get one, I wont be bothered about brakes, but it will have to wheelie!!! :D

The GoKart does quite good wheelies .....

Just as your going over a rise you give the speed control a bit of a 'blib' and the front wheel comes up nicely ..... it's a bit of a skill as too much speed and it will 'flip'.

not that unusual for trolleys to be blown over, both mine and my partners went in the same gust, and neither could be said to be lightweights; one Powerbug, one Powakaddy.

Though we did have the umbrellas up at the time.

Tip: when stopping on a hill put a tee behind the wheel.
