Destroyed myself at the range

Tommo, you need to play with James, he is made of china. Not even quality china, but the stuff that breaks when you just look at it. May be even breaks in the cupboard, before you get it out. The stuff where you think, wow, when did that break? I don't remember that having a crack in it.

Everything down my left half is hurting like hell, my left wrist is agony! (trip to the doctors again I reckon) my left shoulder, shoulder blade, elbow, and all around my neck is as stiff as a board. Not a happy bunny, and I really can't decide which way to go with this. Don't fancy months without playing but really getting fed up with the wrist pain now :(

Off the tee or off the mat?

If off the mat, then what do you expect?

i tend to get 150 balls, but other than a slight twinge in the elbow, nothing to complain about.I spend a fair bit of time in the gym, maybe that helps!
James, have you tried wearing the trion z bracelets? I have been wearing one for years,as had a dodgy back, and trust me they do make a difference either that or the placebo effect is true!

I hope MikeH doesn't read this! It could throw his plans and tactics up in the air! Whoes first reserve anyway?

Maybe its a ploy though for James to get a halfed match; ala Ryder Cup singles style!

Aye Smiffy hes playing it coy! Hoping to come on here afterwards and say

"well at least I didn't lose or let team GM down!"

Surely its too early though???

50 for me and am normally bored. If I got a bucket of 100, 50 of them would be little chips and lobs of no more than 20 yards so i tend to just do that on the practice ground instead.

Just thought - you going to be OK for the Ping v GM match in April?

Ohhhhh yes..... alien invasion wouldn't stop me playing

If off the mat, then what do you expect?
Yeh, it was off the mat, but it always has been. I've hit 400 balls off a mat in a day and not hurt myself before. I don't think I'll be doing it again in a hurry though...

Murphthemog:
I am caddying for him (maybe), so maybe we could swap roles?

Smiffy:
The thing is Chris. It looks like he will be partnering me. so I will keep you honest

OY! I ain't dead yet! :D :D

I've been here over a year and I still don't know how to quote from two different posts in the one reply :o

Could someone please explain to me why this would be the case? I've played many, many shots off the mats at our local range over the past few years and have yet to cause myself injury in doing so.

The teaching area at my club has mats fiottedd and I've strcuk many shots there during lessons over the last couple of years, again without problem.

Unless a) your mats are crap or b) your swinging the club like a mad axeman, I can't see how a reasonable ball strike can cause such an injury. :D

It was b) :(

I was proper hitting them hard, I mean literally as hard as I can swing - it was awsome, nearly taking divots out of the mat

Next time I'll lean back and just flick 'em into the air...

I'll call it Block & Flick

Even James ought to be able to steer an electric trolley around without breaking.

Hmm, maybe not. Better get him a buggy. A white one, with a red cross on the side.
