anyone got any recommendations as im gonna hit up some shops for shoes this weekend

im after good lookers which ultra comfort mainly my big toe hurts on my current shoes which i only paid 30quid for 3 years ago maybe longer NOT TO MENTION GRIP :-P basically the works then sorry if this has been posted before

I have just bought some Footjoy AQL's and honestly I have had them on twice and on the second wearing I never knew I had them on, I got mine from my pro 'cos I had some winnings in my account but I do not think they would come much past £50.00 anywhere.

Shoes are a very subjective matter, and taste too. Mind you, I'm a big believer in you get what you pay for.
I have a pair of Adidas Tour 360 Ltds, which cost around £100, and which are 3 seasons old, and still perfect. They are supremely cushioned and comfortable, in fact like slippers.
I also have 2 pairs of FJ Classics Premier's, which I just couldnt resist in Florida on Special Offer @ $150 each, (£100). Now 2 seasons in, and they are literally like Brand new still, in fact, only just properly worn in.
However, I dont wear them in bad weather, (I hardly ever play in bad weather), and keep them immaculate with shoe cream etc etc.
I'm certain they will last me 10years or more.

Always been a footjoy man, but our pro persuaded me into a set of Adidas Tour 360s this year. They are like slippers, best shoes I've ever bought by a distance.

A few months ago I was looking for a pair of shoes in the pro shop but did not fancy my usual AQLs due to recent comments about quality and comfort issues with Footjoy. Only other option were a pair of Hi-Tec CDTs so I went with them. Every bit as comfortable as AQLs, look decent but seem to have better waterproofing and seem to be decent quality. Only time will tell but signs are good so far.

I am wearing addidas 360 3.0 bought for about £60, they a comfy and a good shoe, I have my doubts about their winter performance as the leather is splitting already after 4-5 months.

FJ I've had have been good shoes, its the styles Fj have that put me off. The next shoes I try will be the echo ultra as I loved the previous model with the exception of the manufacturer default.

Most of the time your feet get wet from your trousers soaking your socks and moving down them into the shoe.
