Day rate for painting and decorating???

I’m calling BS on this ^^^^^

What do you think is BS...

The fact I don’t eat during the day

The fact that after 37 yrs of trading and working very hard to get myself a good reputation, I earn a good wage?

Or the fact I’m very busy, not only am I booked to Oct, I also have next Jan and 3 weeks in Feb book.

Had to turn down another job last night, so come on please tell me which part of the above am I so call making up ?

In that case good for you 👍🏻

Tbf a one off hourly rate for anything will usually be more expensive than buying in bulk.

Indeed but say £65 an hour with a pro is a lot more than £30 an hour

Then again you can buy half a day worth for £220 for example that’s almost the day rate here

Well yes, but golfers are fools. And we know what we say about a fool and their money....

I don't think £240 is that bad for a days work, just saying that anything bought in small quantities is usually pricier than a bulk rate.

(£240 x 5) x 4.5 (weeks) = £5400 a month! Christ alive!!!!

So painting pays way better than nursing. Wonder why nurses bother?

I know comparisons are useless, but you are making out that 60k a year is peanuts. It might be for you, but I bet not many on here are on that.

Depends though this guy never said if he works alone or has guys to pay

The guy I use normally charges similar but including any assistants

I’m getting a loft done in the summer roughly 45k only thing doesn’t include is the 2 bathroom fittings . Once matierals, scaffolding and labourers paid I doubt the guy doing it will take much more than 8k over the 2 months work
