Used to Take bananas, but they tended to get bruised easily in the bag. I like chocolate, but in summer can melt. I like KitKats, but after I found what I did at the bottom of my bag the other month I doubt I'll be doing that too often.
Cerial bars are good, but can't abide all the bird seed getting stuck inbetween the teeth.
Apples, well unless they are small take time to eat & then you need to find a handy bin for the core.
So these days I tend to just take water & or an energy drink.
I do like a good breakfast before a round, whether its just a bacon bap & a coffee or a full fryup blow out. & then look forward to something when I get back in.
I have been known to take a bag of fresh cornish pasties & these can be a welcome treat half way around.
I take fish n chips for the front 9, meat & tatty pie, mash & beans for the back 9 and i also tow a mini fridge around the entire course with me, this contains 24 bottles of corona, a small amount of pre-sliced limes, 6 bottles of magners for when i've had too much corona and also, for that special hole in one/eagle from 200yds moment a nice bottle of Krug clos d'Ambonnay.*
*all or part of this entire post could be a lie and in actual fact i may only carry 2 bottles of Lucozade hydro active and a couple of cereal bars
Depends when I am playing and what condictions are like. Usually I take a bottle of something and my hip flask of Spanish brandy and grab something to eat when I finish. If playing later I eat before I leave the house.
Usually just a bottle of water plus a bottle of powerade. Occaisionally will stick in an apple or a bar of chocolate if I'm playing after work to see me through till I get dinner.
