Cycling

Well, golf has been rubbish in the South East since Christmas, so I ventured north at the end of last week for a bit of exercise.
Glenfinnan to Kilchoan with a diversion to Sanna on day 1. A jaunt round Mull on day 2.
If anyone is looking for an (temporary) alternative to splashing about on a clay-based golf course, I'd encourage a bit of 2 wheel action!

I can assure you that no tents were pitched in the making of these pictures :).
One of the great things about visiting Scotland early in the year is that rooms can be had quite easily and at a resonable price. I quite often end up camping from April onwards, as it can be really difficult to get reasonably priced rooms once the weather improves. I don't mind camping (kit has improved a lot since I was a kid), but I do like to have access to a shower if possible if I've been cycling for a day. I also always buy food in cafes/restaurants rather than cook for myself.
In case the baggage looks a little excessive for a credit card trip, I like to make sure I have spare clothing, a survival bag, flask, spare food, a decent set of tools etc when I travel at this time of year. Some of the spots I went through were quite remote, and I'd not like to be under-prepared.
