Cycling

Awesome. I didn't get out as much as I wanted to this year on my MTB. It's so good getting out for the day.
The weather this year has been very unkind. I only go on a trip when there's a reasonable expectation of decent weather, and I've only been away about 3 times.
Rather like golf, Scotland is my favourite place to go.

when did you go? a couple of weeks ago the weather was really nice was mid teens during the day even up here. that changed on Sunday, temp dropped and at the moment we are under a foot of snow and ice. went out on my fatbike last night, but too sludgy got soaked. need a nice couple of weeks of snow over christmas when im off.

Couldn’t find anothe4 suitable Pro Cycling thread so dug up this one.

Congratulations to Simon Yates for an epic Grand Tour winning performance at the Giro d’Italia today.

A brilliant ride, tactically perfect, stunning result.

Yep. Didn't see that coming at all. Chapeau Simon Yates.
Will be interesting to see what the explanations there are for the "interesting" tactical choices of the oppo, but tbh, who cares !?

Hired my first electric Lime bike this morning in London, did the 30 minute walk in about 7 minutes! Happy days. Only downside is it was a bit more expensive than i expected at £5.35.

Not sure if I will do it for the return journey to the station. Depends how early I can get away.

Hope you went up on the pavement, nipped through red lights and was a general nuisance so you fitted in with the rest of these bike riding hooligans :ROFLMAO:

You also forgot no crash hat, ear/head phones on, using their mobile, unable to get the thing going from standstill and nearly running into pedestrians crossing on a crossing because they don't stop for anyone or anything.
:)

No problem getting it going, the electric assist element meant the steed was pretty frisky!:D

Yes, I agree some Ive seen defintely get going rapid like, but alsosome Ive seen the rider struggles to get the thing moving. This is probably because they have it in the wrong gear and don't cycle normally. Either way, they wobble and flounder so the traffic either cant get going or struggles to get past them.

I think that they're pretty heavy, so can be difficult to manage when starting off etc if you're not used to them or aren't used to cycling in general.
Re. The cost - are the tfl ones cheaper?

The TFL ones are the old Boris bikes which arent electric, so yes cheaper.

If you can find/get one, try the Human Forest ebikes. Cheaper than the Lime bikes.
