custom fitting - midlands (ish) area

Hi, looking to custom fit new clubs/driver.

Don't want to use retail outlets such as AG

I know The Belfry do this for £50 (deducted from clubs purchase)

Anyone know and recommend anywhere else around Midlands that do fitting, I would prefer to do this in range style environment as opposed to a net in a shop.

I travel round Midlands for work so distance not too much of an issue

My club at Kenilworth is an official Ping fitting centre and has all the video and measuring devices etc.

Also John Raey Golf centre in Coventry is a fitting centre.

If you can get to Stone (not far off J15 M6) the driving range there carries quite a comprehensive range (Taylormade, Mizuno, Ckleveland, Callaway, Titleist, Ping), and has full flightscope fitting, in a fairly comprehensive fitting bay. Approx £50 with driver fitting, and is free if you order the clubs from them.

I live in Newport, but actually work down in Essex during the week. When playing at home, tends to either be Muxton or Horsehay (over in Telford).

I think you've really answered your own question, if you can travel why would you not go to The Belfry. I know from reading Today's Golfer that this is where they go for custom fitting due to technology, clubs and facilities on offer. It's suppose to be fantastic - so get yourself there.

Gary at the Bromsgrove golf centre nr Jn 1 of the M42 is a smashing bloke and a master fitter - they have pretty much all the brands there, flight scope equipment - you are hitting into the range not into a screen, the fitting session is free and they will match internet prices.

I've been buying off this guy for 10 years and have bought wherever he has worked and I would be amazed if you can find anyone better. Now working for Midland golf they have all the technology you could ask for at the Bromsgrove golf centre to get kitted out.

Found this thread by searching through google for a good fitter in the midlands. Went to see Gary at Midlands Golf on your advice. Bit of a gamble because Bromsgrove is around an hour from me. I thought I had been custom fitted in the past but after a session with Gary I knew I've just been fobbed off in the past. Nice guy, knows what he's talking about and the facilities there are fantastic. Would highly recommend.

If you want a propa club fitting then you cant beat the pro at brockton. Completely impartial any very good service.

You want to see his work shop. He makes the clubs on site. Even when they arrive from the manufacturer he strips them down and rebuilds them to ensure zero tolerance
