Always had every club 'fitted' but only had 2 putters in the last 24 years but now I'd like a scotty Cameron.
Question is what should I expect from a putter custom fit? I don't want it to be "is that comfortable? Do you like it?" that'll be £199 please :o

My pro does a custom fit and lesson all in one. You can either then order a putter or have an existing one altered.
Best money I ever spent on golf equipment.

He did the whole Yes! golf training. He didn't however insist I bought a Yes! product.

If I was going to spend £200 on a scotty or redwood, to me a £35 fit session would be small change.

I agree, what I was asking is what to expect on a custom fit as I've never had one?

There are so many different styles and shapes of putters out there, alot of the fitting will depend on what suits your eye and feels comfortable. Blade, mallet, offset, centre shaft, belly, broom, etc etc.
But also the length of shaft and the loft and the lie of the head on the ground should be measured.
Finally the style and thickness of the grip should also be fitted for what you like.
So it's finding a balance of what fits your physical characteristics and what you like and feel you can putt well with.
