Stupid question but can you get clubs custom fitted that you have bought over the internet or can it only be done at the time of purchase.

yes but you'll pay for it

Unless they are Ping clubs.

Also the amount the lie can be altered is minimal if the clubs are cast I believe, and improved if you use forged clubs. You will however end up forking out a fair bit of money for shaft changes etc if thats what you had in mind- maybe not for lengthening / shortening but a different shaft all together is normally not economically worthwhile for a full set.

Hi guys I also have been thinking about getting my clubs custom fitted, but is there any real advantage as i am 5ft8".

I have recently bought some new Nike Slingshot irons but I do not seem to be able to hit the ball aswell as with my old clubs and seem to slice with the 5 6 & 7 which before was the strong part of my game. My shots with these clubs seem more like a hit than a swing on connection, I am sure they use magic tape in the shops.

I'd have thought there would be plenty of places ready to C/F a set and send them to you. Trouble is....unless you know the make and C/F spec, you're in difficult territory.

I know what to order if I order Mizuno, but those are the only clubs I've had done. I wouldn't dare to guess at a set of anything else.

If you took a set to a fitter or pro and ask for him to retro fit them, it's going to cost.

I took a set of "already " C/F clubs to a pro club fitter to get him to double check the spec and de-loft the wedge....is was a bit pricey!!

Its £3 quid a club at our club shop £11 if they have to replace the grip and I am sure that direct golf do it too for about the same price.
