No you tube rubbish videos here, just plain old FACTS. Go and buy Callaway X Speed and set it to +2 Draw. I've got one. The wife has one. A mate has just bought one. All of us have that dreaded slice. The loss of distance was huge. Not anymore. Get one of the Callaway drivers and your slice problems will go away (mostly). Occasionally we get a slight draw as well. More distance! My mate is absolutely thrilled with his new purchase. "The best money I've ever spent".

Job Done !

+2 on the optifit Callaway adjustment would add 2 degrees loft? setting to 'D' helps the draw? Curious as a slicer myself! Currently using an epic flash adjustable driver . Cheers

I think a couple of lessons would be cheaper.
Better to cure a slice rather than just mask it.

I have the Cobra Airspeed offset hybrids and what tends to happen is the ball goes straight with heavy slice which tends to kick in late In the carry. It’s as if the offset corrects the club face open issue but swing path still adds the slice.
With a driver I can eliminate a slice with a stronger left hand grip which ensure the club face can’t open. There are then thr issues with pulling left so the swing still has to be coached to hit straight. It’s tough this golf game.

Get a golf lesson and sort your swing path out ,my miss is high and right but I’ve turned this into a soft fade /straight the last few years and it works

When I used to coach I could cure a slicer in about 10 minutes.
It is not rocket science, it is all about spin.
Think table tennis and how you position the face of the bat for a cut or topspin serve.

This I totally agree with, Ave had two lessons with another next month. Me head is fuddled with swing thoughts and me drives are all over the bloody place.

You could stop a slicer from swinging out to in in 10 minutes?

I reckon he could during the lesson.

But the golfer gets back out on the course.....aims up the left as he's always done, shoulders get all open....BOOM - sliced again - ah man - those lessons were a waste of money ;)

Done it many times.
Setting them up to aim right and giving them a hookers grip.
One guy had played golf for 20 years with a slice, never had a lesson in his life, he hooked a ball after about 5 or 6 shots. He was nearly in tears

Getting golfers to believe that aiming right to cure a slice is always a severe leap of faith.
Once they have deliberately hooked a few shots it proves it can be done.
Obviously then stopping a lifelong habit of an out to in swinger would take a bit more time.
But they now at least know that it is possible.

So they are basically aiming right and hitting a pull with a grip that squares up the club face to the swingpath

Some missed, some tops, some straight, some pulls and some massive hooks.
I was just showing them it was possible to hit a ball right to left within a short space of time.
Breaking a taboo that they were a lifelong slicer.

adding loft (in principal reduces) side spin.
