Hi all,
Would like to ask a question on CSS. I understand what it is, but I'm wondering how NRs work?
Take this scenario i found myself in a few weeks back..
Early tee off, rains starts lightly around hole 4 steadily getting worse. Wind picking up. 2 of our fourball are tentative on whether to pack it in halfway through. 10th hole (this one leads back to the clubhouse, not the 9th) they eventually decide it's not worth them staying out. These are the two that aren't playing well on that day. Me and the other member of the fourball stay out (because we're playing well) and complete the round.
Makes sense, right? If you've got a chance of winning something you stay out there, if there's no hope, go home because the enjoyment for that day has long since passed.
When I got back to the clubhouse it seems this was the general pattern, badly performing players packed in halfway through and NRd, the ones playing well stayed out.
So how does this affect CSS? Are NRs considered at all or not?
I buffered, certainly not saying I should have got a handicap cut - I can't even remember my score or the day's CSS - I'm just curious.
Thanks
Callum
Edit: Just checked HDID - css was 72, +1 on the par of the course
