Cricket

Rankings are not re-done (officially) until the end of the series, so still a couple to go but failure to win the second test will see us lose No1 at series end.

I can't see the batsmen continuing as they are, they have to start playing proper test match cricket. A win today (tomorrow) was well within our grasp, too many got out to daft shots.

Get out of the shorter form of thinking and we will come good again. Yes, at times upping the runrate matters, but just as important slowinging it down too.

Twitter is full of 'told you so' and 'England are crap again' tweets, there are too many people in this country like that, they're only happy when we fail.

Our batting has really let us down this winter, although our bowlers can't get off scot free, in both innings we had them in real trouble and we let them get out of it both times, if the bowlers had done their job properly we should have been chasing about a hundred less, which would have seen us win... I doubt we'll be no.1 at the end of the series, my only hope is our form improves as I'm seeing a test and odi in the summer against south africa and I don't want to see us get hammered twice!

We should never have been number one anyway..................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And for those who said KP was back and what a wonderful player he is

2012 average a massive 12.5

and 33 in two innings ........ hmmmmmmmmm

I do think KP is back, regaradless of his poor average, he got out because he played a stupid shot, it was an error of judgement not a technical fault, granted he should no better but I think if he had been more sensible he could have put on a decent stand with Trott

That means he us not a team player..... And technically it was the wrong shot.... Sounds lime u r blaming him for the loss..... he is not a test player IMO

This has been KP's downfall all the way through.
1st innings we should have racked up 350-400 facing that attack. They all got themselves out playing daft shots.
A bit more application required.
