Well, that's fine. I was only trying to think of a way to speed up play. If the shop could see a group had lost a significant distance from a group in front of them they could be rung to suggest they let a group(s) through or speed up.
The simplest answer is education of members and golfers and pace of play and applying the relevant penalties for loss of holes and slow play.

It does work if you take the opportunity and time if they’re just off the tee or your on the green near the next tee it takes seconds to walk over to them and speak to them
It's taken a lot of time and patience to convince my wife that, when I got home, I was still on the 18th 45mins ago.
Calling the golf shop on their phone and raising the issue. That's what we do - slow group ahead, call the shop, they will handle it.

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer but "when possible" just doesn't cut it for me. And this asking rubbish, is just rubbish. Sometimes you just can't get close enough.
You say it doesn’t cut it! When I suggest you go and speak to the people causing the issue you came up with reasons not to!
"When possible" means when there's more than one employee in the shop.
