Hi, I was trying to sell my Vokey 58-12 but as no takers I am now thinking of cranking it to 60*. My questions are these, is it possible? Would the bounce change (currently 12*)? And is cranking back an option once done?

My thinking is use it out of bunkers and in and around the green on fluffy lies. Just a germ of a thought at the moment but interested all the same.

So instead of selling a perfectly good club, you are going to try to sell a modified one? Id say you have even less chance of shifting it. Leave it til the end of the month when people have money again.

I wouldnt think about using my 60* wedge from a fluffy lie. The blade just wants to slide right under the ball.
I'd just play it as is, 58* is more than plenty for even the deepest of pot bunkers.

Can be done, but as Imurg has pointed out the bounce will increase, and 12 deg of bounce is way too much for a 60 deg wedge, unless you use it exclusively for bunkers and very fluffy lies.

If you bend the loft 2 degrees to 60, your bounce will increase from 12 to 14.

Sounds about perfect to be honest. May Just go ahead and do it, I'll sleep on it for a week 1st though...

Have you tried playing your 60 out of a fluffy lie, but with most of your weight forward? Saw a video of Mickelson where he was recommending that.

Bare lie - weight more central
Fluffy lie - weight more forward

Why bother. Unless you have rough that pigmy tribes live in or bunkers with mountainous faces why would you need to do that. A 58 is perfectly adequate and to be honest a lot more reliable. I think you're ruining a perfectly servicable club. Practice more with it

The thing is I have a 58* already in the bag, which I prefer off the fairways however in the bunkers I was better with my Vokey than the Mizzy. I put this down to bounce, one other consideration was to put it back in the bag as is and just use for bunkers but seems sill having 2 58's... well to me it does :(
