Craighead Links?

Not sure why they says its a links course, old farmers field with couple of good holes on it but wouldn't go out my way to play it give the choice of courses you have in the area.

Same could be said of (much of) Kingsbarns!

What time of the year are you planning to play it?

If I was travelling to Fife from below the border I would look at St. Andrews New, Jubilee and Eden or Lundin Links before choosing Craighead.

The turf at Kingsbarns used to be a golf course and its total different turf to Craighead but I guess from your comment you may have not played both to make a statement like that.

Indeed, not played Craighead. Played Kingsbarns a few times and there was indeed once (or maybe twice!) a course on the property - both times that was turned into farmers fields Heavy machinery certainly did a magnificent job to create the current course!
