Had the pleasure of playing at Coventry GC today with Full Throttle this morning, £25 each on the county card proved to be excellent value and the course was in superb condition with a junior open there this afternoon.

A pleasant surprise when we signed in the shop to be told we were to play off the white tees (the colour drained a little from Robs face lol)

A pleasant parkland course, a bit tight in places on the front 9 but some lovely holes, especially on the back 9. Some very tough par 3s a highlight of the course for me, and the majority are small quick greens so accuracy at a premium

We had a good game which Rob managed to nick by holing a monster at the last for a 4 net 3. There again I should have made him play again as he played out of turn but Im not that cruel in a friendly knock

We both played some good stuff and some ordinary stuff, typical golf really but was good fun and will definitely look to go back and play there again later in the year. I may even see some of the right hand side of the course next time :p

Cheers for the game Rob, look forward to doing battle again (hopefully your hcap committee will have had another go by then)

Will pop up a proper review and a fews pics later

Steve, Kenilworth is just around the corner if you ever want a game there. Glad you enjoyed it. How did the ORKAS perform for you both?

Hi Nick, Im there with Fish and a couple of others on the 17th, ty for the invite, I dare say I could come back again though :) Only took me 50 mins to Coventry so decent enough journey

Orkas going well here, its the non Orkas that are the problem (or the idiot on the end of them anyway lol). Rob played pretty solid bar a couple of bad shots, wouldnt want to play against him regularly with him off 20 thats for sure
