Coxmoor
Notts GC
Bullwell Forest
Rufford Park
Charnwood Forest
Nailcote Hall.

Looking to book somewhere for the journey back from Woburn. How do these rate? Any "hidden Gems" not on the list?

Notts is more than a hidden gem - it is one of the best courses in the country - I haven't played it but know several people who have and a member. Coxmoor also looks a very decent track, albeit a good step below Notts.

wouldn't bother with Bulwell Forest of you have ambitions of playing somewhere like Bondhay, Coxmoor or Notts. Value for money says Rufford for me but it is a fair way from the M1 (maybe 30 mins). Also consider Morley Hayes which is on the other side of the M1.
