After some advise if possible.

HID and the Sister-in-Law are on a course in Maccelsfield on the 25th of September so me and the Brother-in-Law to be have been given a pass for a round of golf while they are on their course.

I am therefore after some advise on resonable courses in the south Manchester Area. I need a list as the Brother-in-Law is a Manager at a course near Bath so may be able to get in at a preferred rate.

Any help would be appreciated.

Prestbury and Wilmslow are good. Wilmslow has been an Open Qualifer I think in the past.

Ringway is a class course.

Hope this helps

I echo the Wimslow recommendation.

This is one of my favourite inland courses, albeit the greens are every bit as good as a links. I played during the winter and the course was playing better than mine plays now.

Would have to be Mere Golf Club for me, but Dunham Forest is also very nice. Both sandy so quick draining if there has been any rain around.
Enjoy wherever you play.

Prestbury was also a recent Open qualifier (last yr I think). Had the good fortune to play a couple of times. Very well maintained course

Shrigley Hall is a very nice course near to Macclesfield that is worth considering.

I have played both Wimslow and Mere in the past.
Both were very good courses. Wimslow is the "easier" of the two, (not so many bunkers!), but Mere was the better presented. I would guess Mere is going to cost a lot more money to play than Wimslow so Wimslow it would be for me.
