With a whole week off and no family plans this year, it looks like I will actually get a decent amount of golf in over Xmas. The course was in decent condition yesterday aside from a couple of frozenish greens but the temperatures are meant to go up into double figures from tomorrow so that will sort that out.

How is it looking for everyone else? What are your chances for golf over Xmas?

Not for me, 6 hour-a-day revision sessions are doing my head in, and no golf isn't making it much better.
Still, I can look forward to hopefully unwrapping a garmin gps watch this Christmas !

No idea at the moment was away in Harrogate till Saturday afternoon. It was snowing when i got back so no golf Sunday or today. We are having our Roll up christmas comp on wednesday so lets hope the snow is gone by then as we are due rain and warner temps this afternoon and tomorrow.

if the weathers good enough i'll be playing Christmas day included.

im on nights this week so my final night will be Thursday. Im not back at work until 9th January so can play golf every day except two where my Mrs is going to watch some dancing thing and a show with her mate.

planning to play a round or 2 over the festive period. May go out Saturday, Monday and next Saturday aswell. Working 2 of the bank hols (triple bubble so not to be sniffed at) so felt I deserve a couple of rounds at least :)

Snow covered fairways here, its been raining today but not nearly enough. I guess the snow will be here for a couple of days yet then there is the issue of a thaw making the course a soggy mess.

Might try and head down the coast if I can.

Playing Friday pm, Saturday am, Tuesday in the mixed (a first for me, but as it is a shot gun at 9, it is play in it or don't play, and I do need the practice), then Friday at Woburn, Saturday swindle, and bank holiday Monday. Then back to work.

I was surprised to read the paper this morning about the change in weather, i thought that this would be the week where we got snow, the Met Office is saying the tempreture is going to get up to 13 degs. lets have it right they couldnt predict a hurricaine so we will see...

Weather permiting, have a knock on Friday, swindling on Saturday, a knock on Tues 27th & NYE swindling again, tees have been booked for NYDay but i dont think i will be able to get out of bed.

Expect our course is very boggy with the current rain and more expected over night, hope to get out a couple of times before xmas this week, will worry about next week when it gets here :)

I've just finished a load of exams so I don't really have anything on so golf would have been on nearly everyday if it wasn't for the fact im injured!

planning on playing loads as i break up on friday and not back to work till 9th jan!
plus getting new irons for xmas so going to give them a whirl
probs be going up to goswick a few times as well

Scratch that, just been to the doctors to see how the knee was getting on and they've said I'll be able to play after Christmas so I'll still be able to get a few rounds in before school! :D Not quite sure how I managed to recover a week and a half early but hey I'm not complaining :D

i think most courses are open its just the clubhouses that arnt, if you live near a top top course get yourself on it for free

Finish work on friday at 1pm until the 16th of Jan, so expecting a fair bit of golf + range time as I am going to try a different thing with my swing. We have opens on nearly every day at our place so can play a comp nearly everyday if I wanted too (I don't!). Only snag is Santa is bringing the wee lass a trampoline so have to spend a while building it :(

Not be much for me.Away to Leeds on Friday lunchtime, back home Xmas morning for more food and drink then probably my 1 round of golf will come on Boxing Day in the shape of 12 holes with 3 clubs and a putter.

Drinking heavily on 27th & 28th then work 29th followed by drinking heavily on 30th,31st and 1st through in Tignabruich for New Year with a group of mates...............next game of golf after Boxing Day looks like 7th January if I have managed to shake off the shakes by then!!

I plan to be up there very day from Boxing day until I go back on the 3rd. Might not play every day and do some practice on my pitching and putting but looking forward to some warmer weather and plenty of golf
