Shame there isn't an "agree, but dislike" button! We've cancelled a trip that we've done for years as the course has removed its winter rate. Why play in Feb for the same price as July?

I think with the mild winters we have been having it’s made the courses playable a lot more in times most clubs wouldn’t see lots of visitors.
It used to be a good deal to play a top course.
That might be a thing of the past now.

Think you will change your mind when you check the price for Sept.next year. If the price quoted comes within budget you probably need to start again as many other courses will be within tour budget

We have just booked a trip for 12 of us to play Royal Liverpool next year (September) in our quest to complete the Open rota courses.

We will be travelling from Dorset, so looking for a course to play on the way up. Say within an hour's drive of Southport (where we will stay that night) en route or small diversion, less than £50.

Any suggestions?
