I had the good fortune to play this course last Saturday on a Mizuno Forum Meet. It's a nice tight parkland type course with undulating fairways, (okay, hilly fairways in parts), well protected greens and an excellent clubhouse.

There was a group of 12 playing a Northern meet as a trip to Bearwood Lakes in April was too far for to travel for some of us 'oop norf'. Given that we were playing on a Saturday morning, in season, I was amazed at the freedom we were given to have mid morning tee times. The club were very accommodating and were very helpfull in making sure everything was to our liking on the day.

We played our golf in testing conditions, a fair wee breeze was evident and it did affect shot selection on a good few holes. Fairways were nicely kept and quite lush. Greens were a little slower than I'm used to at home, but they were good enough and will improve over the next month. We were met on the 9th tee by one of the committee who was there to make sure all was okay during our round.

On completion, we were welcomed into the clubhouse and after our prize giving we had an excellent 2 course meal. Facilities were excellent, plenty of car parking, plenty space in the locker room, and a well stocked bar.... what more could you ask for.

What else can you ask for..........

naked 19 year old nymph barmaids and a set of Pings!

Played it last year and thought it was a great course purely for the diversity of some of the holes, thinks its the 8th which is just like 1 massive roller coaster culminating in a raised green about 50' higher than the approach. Did you notice the course record in the bar? 12 under par

Played with him last year in a 36 hole event and asked him about the round. He said it was some very good golf and some outrageous good fortune like holing approach shots and a couple of chip in's. Nice bloke and a good player obviously.
