Course Rating

Wild exaggerations are not helpful (although it does sort of confirm my suspicions about the height of the rough), but the increased risk of sloped ground towards the water is accounted for.
The model scratch golfer isn't carrying the bunker.

Not really wild when it's factually correct that the fairway all feeds down to the water .. and if you are left of centre you will most likely be in the water

What is the length of the rough between fairway and water? How steep is the slope down to the water?

That's the bottom of it, the gorse was removed last year so now there is nothing stopping it

The rough is very low

Not sure what you can see from first picture but gives some of the image from off the tee

How far is to to the bunkers/dogleg?

By the looks of hole 19 off the whites it's 250 to carry it 240 to it

Like I said if you don't hit the ball right side of fairway you will collect towards the water and if your left side of fairway it will roll down into the water especially this time of year

So the model bogey will be laying up short of the bunkers.

Still risking water. Or gorse (both just outside landing zones) with a second shot over water if near bunker with 190 yards remaining .. or 200 plus if on the right with a bunker blocking the green

He is a bogey player. Is he expecting to par the hole?

Why would he not play it strategically and settle for bogey or double?

I do.... As a bogey player who plays it twice a week then rating for slope isn't a reflection of the difficulty faced for bogey players

Not many bogey golfers play strategically that’s why their handicaps are high.😂

New plan to get cut is just go top meadow and hit 93 a few times.. easy. Last time I played I just finished nights and walked off with 95

That will get me off 18

Ridiculous system

Or just go the shire and hit 98

You’re flogging a dead horse here mate.
Nobody listens to golfers experiences on their own golf courses.
If it’s not in the manual it dosnt count.😂😂

They downgraded our slope several points ( can’t remember exact.)
But I asked how if that’s right why did they get it so wrong the first time.?
