Course help

About 4 -6 of us are after a overnighter no more than 3 hours from Hampshire/Derbyshire, not to expensive and would include 2 rounds and a night in a hotel. It will also be a Fri and Sat and in June. (Asking a lot I know.)
Any one recommend any where good but cheapish.

Best bet would be a de vere or Marriott resort for a Friday Saturday

In the midlands then the Belfry or Forest of Arden might be a good bet.

Thorough recommend Forest of Arden. Decent Marriott hotel and two courses. One a lot easier than the other but ideal for a short break

Guess it depends on whether good or cheap is more important as trying to get both in June on a weekend may not be that easy. How cheap is cheap, give us an idea of budget?

Im guessing north london up to northampton the sort of area to be in the middle of Hants/Derby

Far better quality, not sure whether you'd get a weekend in June though, Brocket Hall (2 different courses, both top quality)

Others that you may consider would be Luton Hoo (ok course though im not a fan), Shendish Manor (not been for years but supposed to be OK), Oxfordshire (may be pricey at weekend)
