Playing Conwy Monday been told that i am playing with Andrew Murray, its his corporate day.Should i ring in sick seen as its my first round with my new clubs.Been told its a fantastic course, weather forcast is good,Bunkers are many and deep .Anyone played it.

Hi

I played it the week after it had hosted a major seniors comp (i think it was the Welsh seniors open) last year in a society knock.

I scored 33 points off 12 in howling wind and rain. The rough was really high and the bunkers were numerous and deep. It is a great course and well worth the visit. I hit mainly a 2 hybrid round there as it isnt especially long but you simply have to keep it on the fairway.

Go, its a great course and even if you struggle, every one else will to.

Edgey

Was only kidding wont ring in sick!.Iron or 5 wood off the tee for me then edgey cheers keep out of the Bunkers then eh.Going now setting off @ 5 am.Looking forward to a great few days golf!.Better than working :)

Conwy is a very good links course, tough and with loads of gorse especially on the back six as I recall (so take a few balls!!). Andrew Murray is also an excellent host. He comes from around my neck of the woods, and often pops in to my club as he and our pro are good mates.

You must go and enjoy the day, and hopefully you will get a few tips of Andrew.

I can't put my finger on it but I'm not keen on it. I know it's a links course but I think it's a bit scruffy. I really can't think of anything really bad about it but I don't like it. Stick to the short stuff and you should be fine.
