Does any one know whether the ID stays for life and if so where can I find it?

You will be assigned a new CDH if your membership was expired more than six months ago. Your old details may still be used for determining the new handicap though, and your old history can be found by the new club given the relevant information of your old club.

Do you mean the CDH number, which is allocated by England Golf?
If so, going forward it will stay with you for life, but in the past if you left a club it may have been deleted.

Yeah the 'lifetime' part of it is a bit peculiar as its only relevant if your in continuous membership. After six months a new number is issued ... at least that was my understanding, unless they've changed that recently.

I went to one of the handicap roadshows last month, and it was there that they said in future they would not be deleted.
