Congratulations Keegan Bradley

Looks like Auntie Pat taught him a few things about playing well in the clutch. Bouncing back after hitting the water on 15 was some feat, especially in his first Major!!!!

Felt a bit sorry for Dufner aka Krusty the Clown but one of them had to finish runner up. Shame Anders Hansen couldn't pull a rabbit from a hat in the end. I still wonder if the USPGA will reach it's centenary before being revamped?

I struggled to get excited about it. I think I might have struggled even if Lee, Rory or Luke were in real contention. TO me it just doesn't have the spark that a Major needs.
At the end of the day it's only the US version of our PGA at Wentworth - and if the Yanks could be bothered to travel you'd have a similarly strong field as most of them are excempt.

Although I didn't stay up for they play off I actually quite enjoyed the final round, there was plenty of good golf and Keegan Bradley despite being an "unknown" showed a lot of skill and character. Who knows he could be a future super star. I still remember being disappointed when a young American with a silly hat and a silly grin who I'd never heard of won the Open in 1975. :o

Well done to him, he played some good golf.

I couldn't get excited about the course though, it just looked like a big, long slog and it was pretty one-dimensional. By that I mean that there was only one way to play the course. How many players did we see in the same bunker/bit of rough etc..?

I was excited, not only because there were 2 outsiders in contention, but i also had £5 e/w on Keegan at 150/1!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

I'm glad he won from the two. Dufner had less of a personality than Tiger! Cripes! Smile kid!

Shame had to win with a long putter though - long is wrong. Just ask Neil Tappin ;)

I was also surprised at the amount of (young) players that are using belly putters.

I didn't stay up for the play off, mostly because I fell asleep on the sofa! But to fight back with two birdies and a par in the last 3 holes to give himself a chance was very, very impressive.

Another who couldn't warm to Dufner and that weird pre-shot waggle drove me nuts. Shame Karlsson and Hanson fell away over the last few holes and to be honest Westwood and Donald were always a couple of shots shy before they had bad finishes. It was an OK tournament but didn't have the feel of a major.

Just ahead of Adam Scoot apparently!

Jason Duffner actually fnished top 5 last year just behind Rory. I like him because he is a down to earth looking guy with a waggle any amateur hacker would be proud off.

I guess that 41 on the back 9 at Firestone really impressed you huh?! ;)

I thought it was very exciting, there were still quite a few players still in contention untill the last few holes, and Dufner still had to make par at the last to force the play off, after Bradley had played some great golf over the last few holes to get himself back in contention.
Must admit that it didn't have a Major feel about it,and in all honesty i think the Players Championship is more worthy of Major status.

Bloody 'ell. Rory McIlroy has put on a lot of weight since I saw him last....!!!

haha, i obviously saw something! but was really looking for an outsider to creep into the top 5, did not think for a moment he would win. also backed adam scott and steve stricker.out of those 3, steve was my main hope!!

Keegan hits it Miles........

Dufner looked like he had a mouthful of chewin t'bacca and spitting out globs in front of millions didnt curry favour with me.

Re: Congratulations Keegan Bradley

I stayed up right to the very end,and i have to say i enjoyed it.
I agree it doesnt have the same feel as other majors, but maybe that was because the players in contention were relatively unknown this side of the water.
Im sure if it was Tiger,Phil and Westwood up the stretch it would have been awsome.
To me the course was superb and the last four holes were really difficult, even par on the last four holes would have been a good score.
Cant understand what gets up peoples noses sometimes, just because a player has a waggle it gets under peoples skin, sad.
