Congrats to Jason Dransfield

Nailbiting finish, guy in the lead had a 6 shot lead with about 5 holes to play..and blew it.
He needed a difficult up and down on the last just to make the play off.....and then went on to win it after a couple of play off holes.........would have taken some getting over that if he'd lost....

Tempted him back here many months ago via Twitter but he's not been around for ages, just busy doing Golf things and promoting his sponsors I expect. I Hope this catapults him onto greater things:thup:

I guess if you can pick up a £20K sponsor then you'd survive, if you lived at your Mum's.

Not me - but after a few comps you would know whether you cut it or not. Staying on the Europro tour isnt going to earn you a living. You either survive to go onto better things or dont make it IMO. Its a tough school.

Mind you, the standard of the weaker players in the field can be poor at times.

shocker of a tiddler the other play off contender missed. he'll relive that one a few times in his mind...

the commentator John E Morgan apparently hit an ace when filming his segments for the next Euro Pro tournament on sky. sometimes i think he's a touch silly, but am looking forward to seeing the footage of that shot,,,

I've spoke on here about John E Morgan before, and my thoughts havent changed since

The guy is exactly what i want to see from a pundit/expert whatever you want to call them

Very down to earth, can be quite funny, and says it how it is

I often wondered watching his pieces how he still didnt cut it on tour as he plays some crackers, then i watched him hit the drink twice on 1 hole... he still was class to watch though
 
in general i do like listening to him, i just think on occasion he fractionally overdoes the joviality. i'd be very much in favour of him having a regular gig on the main tour coverage. i know he does pga tour now and again, i think sky could use him more frequently
 
Fair play Jason, hard fought no doubt, hope he comes back it was nice having someone that level here
 
Many thanks everyone, a forum member tweeted me to tell me that he heard through the forum how I had got on. It is very nice to see the support from here, even though I haven't been on in a good while. I have been playing a lot and just not got round to logging in, I will try and come on more often now.
