Well popped into ag on the way home and had tried a few TAYLORMADE clubs only for now as i have 2011 rescue & r7 driver.
i have graphite at the moment so was heading towards that and liked the look off burner 2.0 in graphite.
when one guy said try a couple , so i tried the steel burner/graphite burner and R11
Well now i am confused the graphite didnt like ,steel was ok but loved the R11 irons. !!
so is there any similar one to this before i jump in ? i.e alot of people on here mention mizzuno , what about callaway/ping??

Please help

oh tried the R11 driver goes miles !!

dont know about about them as such but from reviews and comments on here the general vibe is the r11s are excellent, mizzys are also very good very forgiving, dont know much about callaways, but may do soon as my pro is sponsored by callaway so if i get new irons they may well be them... sorry if this seems completely unhelpful :)

I hit the R11's today. They did feel nice but I still didnt have that warm feeling you should when you really like something. Something just didnt click with me and them.

Give us some info about your age, handicap, how often you play and you may get some more informed responses

for instance if you play off 7 nobody here is going to point you in the direction of game improvement irons, but if you play off 28, then Ping G20's may be right up your street.

Oh yes, to be a member of the forum you need to get a V-Easy
PM Bobmac, :D

Fragger :D

well i am between a 12-17 handicap, male and have taken up golf again a few months ago, how often do i play , friday pm & sunday mornings, but will in the summer play 3-4 times a week !

Does that help :)

Not really :D

If you are off 12 you might be able to use different irons to a 17 handicapper

i go round a course 10-12 over most of the time , but dont have a recognised handicap so i gave it benefit of the doubt saying 17 !!

Out of interest why do you have graphite shafts. The thing with most clubs are they are subjective and what suits your game may not be to the next guys liking. I don't really like Titleist irons, not pbecause they are rubbish but I just don't get on with them. My advice would be to speak to your club pro. Start with the shaft and see if he recommends steel or graphite and then go from there.

Personally I love the R11 irons and they could be on the Christmas wish list unless something very tasty comes out before then (I20 anyone?)

The reason i have graphite shafts at the moment i brought the clubs in florida years ago on international drive , they were cheap and off the shelf ones.

IF you want to try Callaway then take a look a Razr X Tour. Callaway irons gave me much better results than Burner 2.0 on fitting. The Razr X suited me better but the Razr X Tour were very nice.

Same old answer...go get yourself a custom fitting from a reputable fitting centre :)

Correct, however, if you are interested in Mizzys, then then national fitting centres are excellent, and the fitting is FREE... That is until the new year when all the mizzy national fitting centres are being closed down, except for the one in London....
