Just caught a little bit of this, didn't even realize that it was happening.

Anyway just watched the squash final, I didn't realize how physical it was, also I would have smashed about 12 rackets with how close to the wall that ball is. How do they manage not to smash the ball into each other?

Definitely worth a watch.

It’s been superb to watch

There are two things about the games that should be applauded

1. There are an equal amount of events for women as there are for the men - full equality

2. The Para events are behind held at the same time - it’s a totally joint event which is brilliant to see

There have been some shocks - Whitlock and Peaty losing up there with the biggest and there have been some great performances,

It’s a superb event which is all about the sport , and it’s how these events should be -sporting , friendly , respectful and so far drug scandal free

First time I've ever seen squash in a format where you could clearly see the ball and it is amazing. I too said about how close to the wall yet never smashing the racket. Also love the physical element and makes me wonder how the hell we ever manage to play without an umpire/referee! Really good viewing.

Otherwise not really got too inspired to watch the games unless nothing else is on!

Not quite.
Full equality would be women and men competing in the same event, but obviously that will never happen.

Are you sure about that?
I am sure I heard Buncie complaining about the lack of weight divisions for women's boxing...

And, I haven't seen any men's netball...
Though loving the ladies...

As others... Been really enjoying the squash...

Haven't indulged at all, with the Masters and Champions League last 8 and premiership derbies of late just haven't noticed Commonwealths at all.

Glad to hear it's providing entertainment and squash players and bowlers get an event not in the Olympics.

Looking at medal table do feel they need to reduce the number of swimming events from 38. Endless medals and events. Is there any other sport where you race in a style (stroke) which is not the fastest/most efficient? It's like running without moving your arms! Why not just have freestyle and bin off butterfly, backstroke and breaststroke as race events, that'd get it down to 16 medal events which for one sport is more than enough. Swim any stroke you like. Ozzies have 22 golds in swimming alone so far, nuts. It's so dull a sport to watch.

Love a bit of squash, great sport to watch, especially live. I watched some Premier Squash League a few weeks back where the Commonwealth silver medallist, Paul Coll from NZ, was playing. Was sat in the front row and it was a fabulous evening. Would recommend it to anyone. The athleticism is unbelievable.

Just watched a bloke win the 1500m Womens Final - surely some mistake?[/QUOT
Sanity - something is being done about this. Not got a single thing against Semanya but felt very sorry for all the other athletes who had invested an unimaginable amount of effort to get to the top only to find that the playing field wasn't level.
