I can only assume that he didn't see the clip of the kids in Africa picking through rubbish for a pittance,so they could eat every couple of days.

I agree some of it was cring worthy, still managed to raise a lot of money though which is what is all about.

Has anyone found either French and Saunders or Lenny Henry remotely funny? Ever? Pulling teeth gives me a bigger laugh.

I paid my money, heart breaking scenes, but blimey the phrase comedian was loosely used last night.

I find with comic relief, it's funny for the sake of being funny.

Yes I know the clue is in the title, but I feel they try far too hard to be funny, and it's not.

That aside, can't fault the intention behind it.

When I first saw this thread I was gonna write exactly that, but the thread started off a bit poor. what with the contributions of a knob. Anyway if that is funny, some of the comedy geniuses must be turning in there graves. What was that all about with them two dressed up like Hitler. They have had a year to write summat funny.

Felt sorry for Billy Connoly, is he a "Sir" yet, if not why.

im afraid i gave up watching "comic relief" a few years ago, it stopped being funny a long time ago. couple that with the awful scenes of poor helpless children which my better half cant bear to watch as it makes her cry we just donate and not watch.
as for Billy Connolly,the sooner it is arise sir big yin the better.

I too donated but watched the 'comedy' for two minutes and changed channel. Must be an age thing.

Enjoyed some of it but thought some was dire, e.g. Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. Well impressed with Ed Sheeran's commitment - top guy!

Some truly heart wrenching viewing in those films. And some of the comedy was terrible. Another that can't fathom how Mrs Brown's biys is funny at all

Even the much hyped " Love Actually" revisit didn't raise a chuckle, more updating the characters and testing the water for another film.

If they are going to use Vic & Bob it should be in something that we know, poor Susanna Reid looked embarrassed to be there.

Still can't argue with the result, great cause, and a shame to see The Big Yin looking unwell, hope he improves
