Gah. I haven't been able to play since the first week of January and it's starting to do my nut in!

Lost 3 weekends through working in Rwanda. Fair enough, but coming back from 30 degrees to snow and -2 was enough of a shock to contribute to my back going and preventing me from playing. Then the following weekend I managed to pick up a filthy cold (which I've still got!). Despite the cold, I was determined to play today...until football last night when someone kicked my toe and now I can't put a shoe on!

What does a man have to do get a game?

Hope to get onto the practice area tomorrow for an hour.

Played yesterday and was happy enough at +2, 2 bogies, a double and 2 birdies.

Get your putter out and work on your stroke!

Played today and did ok. Was barmy and had the arms out for the first time this year. So much nicer than having base layer, polo jumper, wool jumper hat and mittens and the course was surprisingly dry. A few wet spots here and there but I'll take that after the battering from the weather the course has taken.

Managed to get to the range today with The Boy - concentrated on getting him to hit balls again as he hasn't been since November.

He finally hit past the 50 yard marker 8 times and even got a couple to 75. Pleased as punch he was and we may get back there tomorrow so he can have another go.

I was due to play today but knocking down a garage and then shifting all the rubble to use as hard core for my soon to be put down patio took alot longer than possible!!!

No golf for a month and a half for me too, managed two hours practice today though with my new camcorder, its fantastic, especially watching my rusty swing in 720p or 1080p on the big screen (at 60fps)

You're Lucky!!!!!!!!

After coming to the conclusion that I was writing cheques my body couldn't cash (in the words of SHMBO) I gave up riding a motorbike as fast as I could through the woods to take up Golf.

That was back in September 2008 and since then I've only had lesson and managed to play a grand total of 18 holes (I won't bore you with the reasons why), in fact I've played more crazy golf with my daughters than I have real golf and I'm itching to get out of the range join a club (one that doesn't mind a newbie) and get out onto the course.
