Coincidence or suspicious ?

He`s not only a cheat but a not very good one! well done for keeping it together, I would have told the comp secretary though as theres no place for cheats in golf!!

Possible cheat, but as I always try to see the best in people perhaps he had found one of your balls in a previous round. I know my playing partner regularly plays with AJ written on his balls as he found a load of AJ's balls on what must have been a disastrous round for AJ. We even checked on the handicap list to see if we could find AJ on it. Now whenever we find a ball we always joke that its one of AJ's.

They're only illegal in a 'One ball' competition as they will not be on the list of conforming balls. 'One Ball' comps are usually the domain of the elite or professional golfer.

Looks really bad but impossible to prove unfortunately, however unlikely it is to both have same ball & marks.

How many people have their standard mark as a dot or two above the name or number or similar?? I've come across loads & loads like that, the surprising thing is that it doesn't happen more often and not necessarily because snyone is cheating.

I've taken to writing ROBO on my ball opposite to where I put the line em up line over the pro v bit.

The OP does sound totally suss though, sadly.
