Club Captain's impact on Golf Club

I think the only captains impact I’ve seen was for combined captains (i.e men and lady) to focus on raising funds and improving a short game area.

I don’t get up my club (which has changed over the years) loads but rarely has a captain come up and introduced themselves after spotting a face they won’t have recognised.

Other one would be support of junior section may be.

We made the news a few seasons back appointing the first female club captain at a royal club http://www.thegolfbusiness.co.uk/2014/01/royal-club-appoints-woman-as-captain/

I know it was good for the club profile and she did a good job and I think having a female did help when some of our more "outspoken" members wanted to voice their concerns and they were definitely more pragmatic in their approach

Might borrow a skirt on occasions, but defo not going further than that. :oops::oops:
