Got a fancy Clicgear 3.0 trolley as a gift. Awesome kit. Built like a tank. rah rah rah....
But does anyone know how to get winter wheels for it? AG sells hedgehogs for clicgear at £50-60. But thats just the regular cheap plastic/rubber hedgehog. I can get a regular basic trolley for that money. Any other suggestions?

I have a clicgear too, its runs very lightly (relatively), therefore if you need winter wheels surely the course is too wet for any type of trolley?

Just making sure that the club can see the winter wheels.. However, am surprised by the amount of mud the Clicgear picks up. The car boot is muddy. Hence think hedgehogs may be a good idea anyways..

scanned ebay.. . does not look like Clicgear does any winter wheels..
Its a case of plain old hedghogs (but in a pack of 3).

My maths may not be great but a couple of hedgehogs = £20 but 3 hedghogs = £50 just does not add up

I got a clic gear 3.0 too, excellent trolley, no idea on the winter wheels but I agree about the amount of mud the wheels pick up on a round. I've got an old towel in the boot that I wet in the clubhouse after a round, wipe the wheels off and pop into a carrier bag, job done.

I used to keep a dish washing brush in the boot of my car to get the mud off my PK wheels at the end of a round. Best 79p I ever spent while trollying my gear!

What about one of the Clic Gear wheel covers? That would keep the boot clean until you get it home.

Shark

Its on my wish list... but mostly out of stock at most online places. Any experience with the covers? any good?

Apologies for bringing up such an old thread however just wanted to add my thoughts!

My club has a policy of only allowing winter wheels on the course between October - March regardless of the weather. I decided to press ahead with the purchase of the hedgehog wheels for my Clicgear 3.0 and all I can say is what a rip off!! £50 odd quid for 3 bits of rubber which are a pain to get on and I am still to be convinced that they will stay on especially when they have to cope with the parts of the course that I venture on to!

Unfortunately I will have to stick with them or just not use the trolley however not convinced I would recommend that others rush out to purchase unless absolutely necessary.....

Recently on a visit to Sutton Green GC, saw some of the Clicgears that have had headgehogs fitted. I think the pro had gone ahead and screwed the hedgehogs into wheels - thus making them a permanent feature, which I think is an interesting idea. I am not a big fan of the fiddly bit of the hedghog - since I am tired of putting them back everytime i use my regular trolley (putting them onto the clicgear wud be a big pain)

I you are going to fit them why not just keep them on as a permanent feature. Especially if you believe the bumf about them making trolley easier to push/pull in normal good conditions.

I use a flexible builders bucket to lob my trolley into at the end of the round... Way easier than trying to bag it up and means I can get to the bar quicker... Can clean trolley at home then at my leisure...

Amazon have the wheel cover in stock if that helps

Might get one of those.. my mate has got a massive powercaddy one, and it wraps up the whole thing. I think the clicgear one is more appropriate

The difference being the stewart winter wheels are actually replacement wheels, not just plastic covers.

Agree... Stewart on my list when the clicgear falls apart in a few years..
