Cleveland 588 irons -opinions!

Hi all,

whats everyones opinions ions on these?

just been custom fitted and had a few shots with these and they seem good. The TM RSi irons felt heavy and although the G30's went well they looked huge in comparison! Plus they were £200 more!

I just bought a 56 and 60 yesterday from AG. Actually went for a few tees and to nab some AD333's as they had the offer on. I already had a 56 and 60 although old hand me downs. Hit a few balls with each and fell in love.

Used them today and felt great..... now if only I had tried out a new putter...... 😢

What model of 588's? I tried the forged cavity backs when I went for my custom fit. They felt good, similar feel to my old forged TA3's. However I found them not to be as as good in terms of flight or forgiveness.

Tbh I'm not sure as the fitter 'just stuck the heads on a shaft' and I concentrated on hitting them!

The ones I bought were the Cleveland Golf Forged 588 Satin Wedges. Bargain IMO.

Great wedges mate i have the 558 in 60

and rtx 558 cb in 52 and 56

great spin on full and half shot feel i can really attack pins

Irons or wedges? I have got the 588 TT irons end of summer last year and getting on with them well so far.

It's the irons that I am looking at!

They em felt really good. Will look at some wedges as well!

I have both irons and the wedges like i said have been really happy with them. I moved from very old irons but also tried the pin g30's etc and these felt the nicest to me. Also been having lessons as well since getting them and hitting much straighter and longer than i have previously.

I have heard good things about the combo sets, hybrids down to the 4 or 5 iron then some mid cavities in the scoring irons.

I think my dream set would then swap the 9 and PW out to blades so I go hybrids to the 5, 6-8 mid cavities and then blades home.

I have the 588 irons, combo set. Gorgeous clubs, had them for two years now I think, courtesy of GM and Cleveland. You will not be disappointed
