My Motocaddy S1 Digital is absolutely caked in mud at the moment and really could do with a clean. I just wanted idea on how best to do this?

I think the best way to get rid of all the dirt would just be a jet washer, but the instruction say to avoid this. And also when I do clean it, how should I best cover up the battery terminal?

Thanks in advance.

Soap & water on bright parts

Protect motor by wrapping in plastic bag. Protect any exposed terminals and axles/wheel spindles as rear/driven axles include clutch assembly.

Might sound like a complete idiot here but a picture guide would be helpful. Not very technically minded when it comes to stuff like this.

Don't worry neither am I. By bright parts i mean the frame that is painted.

As you know you can detach the rear wheels but avoid getting soapy water inside the hub or on the spindle onthe frame .This is the "stem" that is exposed when or if you detach the wheels.

Leave it outside for a couple of days in the rain ( its designed to get wet ) but cover the battery socket with a small bag

Rinse it down and then dry, advertise it on ebay and sell it and then carry in the winter and get a push trolley in the dry weather !

Just cover the ends of any cables that have a connector on with clingfilm and tape. And damp it down with warm water all over except even the motor, as it gets wet usually, just dont use a pressure washer. Then after its soaked for 5 mins, get a small bucket of soapy water and a scrubbing brush like you (or HID) uses for the dishes and work all the dirt off all over, then gently hose down. Dry straight away with a towel of similar and then if available use a small compressor to spray round the centre of all hubs and axles with air. And finish with some AC-90 or similar.

Best thing to do is keep a stiff hand brush to clean it off after each use, or blow it clean with the air hose if your club has one at the end of each round. Do your clubs at the same time and shoes, wipe them all with a dry cloth, shoes with a baby wipe and all is ready and clean for next round every time
