Dear forum friends,

For one reason or another it's been a while since I posted on this forum. However, having just logged on i can see that things are going well without me. In a bid to re-engage with the golfing community I'm going to pose the following question inspired by a recent round in extremely difficult conditions:

What's the most difficult winter shot?

For me it's wet rough, I keep falling short <img src="http://golf-monthly.co.uk/forums/images//graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Wet rough with out a doubt you have minimum control with this shot too many factors to consider. eg length of grass, type of grass if ball is on floor or sitting up direction the grass is growing how wet???? Before all that you gotta find the bugga

do you not get relief from a muddy lie? I dont think we are meant to play from the mud, it should be the same as ur ball lying in water (puddle)

your joking mate whats in between them blades of grass!!

I think only if the ground is under repair GUR.

it all depends on the local rule. prefaired lies apply at some courses during the winter but only on the fairway and get relief

Great question Chipin - good to have you back on the forum.

As for clubchamp07, I hope it wasn't muddy when you won the club champs. If it was there might have to be a stewards enquiry...
